3-member probe panel formed on attack against doctors

KATHMANDU: Metropolitan Police Office, Kathmandu has formed a three-member team to investigate the incident of attacks against doctors by security personnel.

The probe team led by SSP Kiran Bajracharya has SP Mukesh Singh from Metropolitan Crime Division and DSP Hobindra Bogati of Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu as members.

Doctors Shambhu Khanal, Tej Prakash Shah and Bikash Shah were assaulted by on-duty police officials while they were returning home after duty.

Meanwhile, National Resident Doctors Association (NRDA) has warned of stir if the guilty is not brought to book right away.

Three doctors had lodged a complaint saying they were attacked by security personnel from Metropolitan Police Circle, Maharajgunj on Wednesday evening.
