Deuba warns of protest against govt in street and parliament

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has warned of protests in the street and parliament against the government.

He said that a massive protest would be launched against the government as it has failed to tackle the coronavirus pandemic.

While receiving the report prepared by the Coronavirus Infection Monitoring Committee formed by the party, Deuba said, “We will launch a nationwide agitation after Dashain. We will compel the government to summon the parliament’s session.”

He also instructed the cadres to be ready for the street agitation.

Deuba said that although the health of the people was important, the government did not give importance to it and resorted to corruption.
