Police Head Constable nabbed with Rs 400,000 bribe



BUTWAL: Nepal Police Head Constable Shiva Chandra Sahani at Area Police Office, Butwal Police and his wife Nirmala Kewat have been arrested with Rs 400,000 bribe.

The Butwal office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) arrested them on Friday from Siyari Rural Municipality-7 of Rupandehi.

Suresh Bhushal, CIAA Information Officer, said that the investigation revealed that the policeman had solicited a bribe from a service recipient for helping him to be released on bail.
