KATHMANDU: The guardians of students studying at Buddhanagar-based Kathmandu Model (KMC) School have protested citing that the school hiked the fee of the period the school was closed due to lockdown.

The agitating parents of  KMC have complained that the school has turned deaf ears to their request of adjusting the fee as all the parents were hit badly by the COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown and prohibitory orders issued to curb the pandemic.

The parents have denied to pay under ‘annual fee’ heading and have demanded the authority to revise and adjust the fee in line with the critical hour caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the parents, the school has hiked the fee by Rs 500 per month rather than adjusting the previous year’s fee in this uneven situation brought by the pandemic
