Karnali Pradesh records two more COVID-19 deaths



KATHMANDU: Two people have died from coronavirus in the course of treatment in Karnali Pradesh on Friday morning.

The deceased are a 33-year-old man of Chaurjahari municipality and a 22-year-old Gurbhakot municipality of Rukum West. The infected from Chaurjahari died in the course of treatment at Kohalpur Medical College in Banke this morning, said the hospital.

He had been hospitalized on October 7 after he complained of respiratory complications.

According to Naresh Shrestha, an official at the District Health Office, Banke, the patient tested positive for COVID-19 a few days after his admission to the hospital.

Similarly,  the patent of Gurbhakot municipality, Surkhet, who had fallen unconscious in his own house on October 14, had been  rushed to Provincial Hospital.

According to Nawaraj Kandel, the health official at the Ministry of Social Development of Karnali Pradesh, he was diagnosed with pneumonia and his swab test result came out positive.

The patient died in the course of treatment this morning. With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 12 in Karnali Pradesh.
