7,701 COVID-19 patients in home isolation: Health Ministry



KATHMANDU: With an alarming rise in the number of coronavirus cases lately, the number of people living in home isolation is also increasing.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, out of 16,242 active cases in the country, as many as 7,701 are living in home isolation as of Wednesday afternoon.

In a regular coronavirus update on behalf of the government, Dr. Jageswor Gautam, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population informed that Bagmati Province has the highest number of people staying in home isolation.

As many as 3,900 people are currently in home isolation in the Province.

Similarly, there are 1,301 people in Province 2, one thousand one hundred thirty nine in Province 1, seven hundred forty 2 in Province 5, and 314 in Sudur Paschim Province in home isolation.

Dr. Gautam said 182 COVID-19 patients in Gandaki  Province and 123 patients in Karnali Province are also receiving care in home isolation.
