KATHMANDU: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted the chances of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning likely to occur at some places in the country.
The weather will be generally cloudy throughout the country, it said in a weather bulletin issued for Sunday.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Province 1, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, Province 5 and Sudurpaschim Province at night.
The monsoon low-pressure line is currently located to the south and to the influence of the low-pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal, water vapor has entered the country, according to MFD.
