BANKE: Locust swarms that entered Nepal through India have reached Banke district.

The insects have been spotted in Nainapur, Duduwa and Baijanath rural municipalities, said Sagar Dhakal, chief of the Agriculture Knowledge Centre.

The insects in significantly large numbers have destroyed 20 percent of crops in the municipalities.
