Minister Sunar takes stock of landslide-hit people in Pokhara



POKHARA: Minister for Youth and Sports Jagat Bahadur Sunar visited survivors of Sarangkot landslide at two different hospitals in Pokhara.

Minister Sunar met the injured ones at Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences and Manipal Hospital to take stock of their health condition.

The landslides occurred on 10 July killed five persons leaving eight others injured at Sarangkot in Pokhara Metropolitan City-25.

Of the injured, three persons are receiving treatment at Western Regional Hospital of the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences while two others in Manipal Hospital.

Three others returned home after their successful treatment.

On the occasion, Minister Sunar said that the government has made the provision of free health care services to the injured while assuring them that the government will manage the homeless ones under the safer residence program.
