Five missing as landslide buries two houses in Sindhupalchowk



KATHMANDU:  Five people have gone missing in a landslide that occurred at Fulping in Bhotekhoshi rural municipality-4 in Sindhupalchowk district on Wednesday night.

Five people have gone missing after two houses were buried in the landslide in Fulping near Khokundole Bazaar, according to District Police Office, Sindhupalchowk.

Meanwhile, a rescue team of police has left for the incident site, said Dabuti Sherpa, chief of Bhotekoshi rural municipality.

According to Raju Paudel, a local, the landslide which occurred at 1:38 am today has buried Genjen’s house. Five members of the house have gone missing in the incident.

The landslide which fell down from Fulping has partly damaged a school building, too.

Earlier, 20 people had gone missing after the landslide triggered by incessant rains occurred in Bahrabise of Sindhupalchowk on July 8.
