18 new COVID-19 infection cases in Gandaki Pradesh, tally hits 223



KATHMANDU: The number of coronavirus infection cases has reached 223 in Gandaki Pradesh.

With 18 new cases, the number of infection cases has climbed to 223 in the province, according to a press note issued by the Ministry of Social Development of Gandaki Pradesh on Tuesday morning.

According to Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, the Spokesperson for the COVID-19 Control and Prevention Program of Gandaki Province, the newly infected are 10 from Gorkha, four from Syangja, two from Nawalparasi East and one each from Balgung and Kaski.

Among  the 10 infected in Gorkha, seven are males aged between 21 to 53 and a 31-year-old woman of Gorkha municipality and two males aged 53 – 25 from Sulikot rural municipality.

Similarly, four males aged 18, 35, 39 and 18 have contracted the deadly virus in Chapakot municipality of Syangja. Similarly, one each from Binayatribeni rural municipality and Madhyabindu municipality of Nawalparasi East have tested positive for coronavirus.

Likewise, those infected are 21-year-old male of Pokhara Metropolitan City in Kaski and 34-year-old male of Tarakhola rural municipality in Baglung.

The infected have recently returned from India.
