25-year-old youth becomes 36th COVID-19 patient to recover in Nepal



KATHMANDU: A 25-year-old youth undergoing treatment in Koshi Hospital has been discharged after recovery.

According to Dr. Bikash Devkota, the spokesperson at the Ministry of Health, the 25-year-old has returned home after 27 days in the hospital.

With him, the number of people discharged after recovery has reached 36.

According to Dr. Devkota, there had been nine new cases of coronavirus infection today. With today’s 9 cases the tally of COVID-19 cases in Nepal has touched 258.

The spokesperson said that 23,924 cases have been tested through the PCR method till date.

“A total of 1,250 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours,” he added.

According to him, the number of PCR tests surpassed RDT tests in the last 24 hours. There had been 708 samples tested through the RDT method in the last 24 hours.

In the meantime, 63,085 samples have been tested through the RDT method so far.

According to Dr.Devkota, there are 15,683 people in quarantine, whereas there are 267 people in isolation set up in various hospitals all over the country.
