CDOs of Kathmandu Valley recommend to shut govt offices

KATHMANDU: Chief District Officers (CDOs) of the three districts in Kathmandu Valley have recommended the government to shut all government offices in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur for at least 15 days.

This, however, excludes essential services.

The advice comes at a time when the number of coronavirus infected persons is on a rise in the country.

Several offices had begun to open after the government last week decided to gradually open up the businesses.

The DCOs have forwarded their advice to the high-level coronavirus control committee led by Deputy Prime Minister Ishwor Pokharel via the Ministry of Home Affairs.
