Obscene contents in website named after Nepal’s PM KP Oli



KATHMANDU: You will be left red-faced when you will visit a website named after Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The website, www.kpsharmaoli.com, has obscene contents and has no contents related to the prime minister.

According to www.whois.com, a website that contains information about domains, the website has been registered in the name of a person in Sichuan, China. Chengdu West Dimension Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is the Registrar of the domain. The domain was registered on May 28, 2019.

However, the website doesn’t open in Nepal. When logged-in, one can see a message that the website has been blocked in Nepal as per the instruction of Nepal Telecommunication Authority (NTA).

It is said that the PM’s Secretariat didn’t renewed the domain causing it to be booked the miscreant.

Currently, www.kpsharmaoli.com.np is the official website of PM Oli.
