Czech Republic’s Envoy Hovorka pays courtesy call on Speaker Sapkota



KATHMANDU: Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Nepal based in New Delhi Milan Hovorka, who is currently on a Nepal visit, on Friday paid a courtesy call on Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota.

In the meeting held at the office in Singha Durbar, Ambassador Hovorka congratulated Sapkota on his election as the Speaker and wished him a successful tenure.

In response, Speaker Sapkota asked Czech Republic to take the initiative to lift the ban imposed by ICAO on the Nepal Airlines.

During the meeting Sapkota also expressed hope that the assistance Nepal is receiving from Czech Republic would continue in the days ahead and both the countries would fight jointly for the rights of the land-locked country since both the them are landlocked.

The Ambassador reaffirmed support of the Czech Republic to the economic and social development of Nepal and the cause for strengthening and deepening of bilateral relations during the meeting.

Milan Hovorka is the incumbent Head of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi.
