President suggests scaling up investment in children

KATHMANDU: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has suggested the government and bodies concerned to scale up investment in children.

Speaking on the occasion of the ‘President with Children’ program at the President’s Office, Shital Niwas today, President Bhandari urged one and all to increase investment in the education, health and other aspects of children’s life.

He expressed the hope that the government would pay special attention to the children who are deprived of proper care and protection.

President Bhandari said she was pleased to spend her time with the children and give them guardianship on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.

On the occasion, children from the Nepal Children’s Organization presented musical performance.

The culture of tea reception and political gathering at Shital Niwas on the occasion of Maghi has been replaced by the ‘President with Children’ program for the past two years.
