NC obliged to make government responsible: Gagan Thapa



KAILALI: Nepali Congress (NC) central member Gagan Thapa has said the party is endeavouring to make the government responsible towards the people in the present context.

Speaking at a press meet in Dhangadhi, Thapa said the NC not overlooked it responsibility for warning the government regarding its duties towards people and take notice of people’s hardship by keeping all others agenda aside.

“It is the compulsion of the party not its interest to take to the street against the government. In the present situation, the NC as being the main opposition is obliged to exhort the government to do something for the cause of people and make it responsible towards the their issues,” he said.

As he said, party’s upcoming Central Committee meeting to be held either on December 17 or 18 will decide about the party’s general convention issue.
