Gautam Buddha Cup: Rapti sets 144-run target for Narayani



CHITWAN: Rapti has set a 144-run target for Narayani in the final match of Gautam Buddha Cup Cricket tournament underway in Bharatpur Metropolitan City in the district.

Invited to bat first after loing the toss, Rapti notched up 143 runs losing eigth wickets in the alloted 20 overs. Rapti’s Kushal Bhurtel top-scored with 42 runs. Binod Bhandari made 28 not-out runs while Amit Shrestha contributed 18 runs.

In reply, Narayani’s Shahab Alam claimed highest three wickets followed by Sushan Bhari with two wickets.

Both the teams – Rapti and Narayani – are putting their best efforts to clinch the title. Subash Khakurel is the skipper of Narayani while Rapti is being led by Binod Bhandari.

This cricket tournament which had been hit by the COVID-19 for months is being organized at the initiation of Bagmati Pradesh Cricket Association.
