Kathmandu Valley witnesses 807 fresh COVID-19 cases

KATHMANDU: As many as 807 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 632 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 42 in Bhaktapur and 133 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, 1,477 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 209,776 with fresh cases as of Sunday afternoon.

A total of 2,798 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 173,430 in the country.

Nepal currently has 35,125 active cases.

Likewise, 1,021 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as six people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1,221, the Ministry confirmed.
