NEPSE index up by 1.29 points



KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 1.29 points on Thursday and reached 1562.46 points.

Shares of banks, hydropower, collective investment funds, trade, and other sub-indices rose modestly on Thursday, but shares of other sub-indices declined.

Shares of production sub-indices declined by 29 points, non-life insurance by 24 points, life insurance by 16 points, and hotel by 15 points.

A total of 49.94 million shares worth Rs 1.42 billion were traded on Thursday.
