Taplejung CDO Chapagain tests positive for COVID-19



TAPLEJUNG: Chief District Officer (CDO) of Taplejung, Jharendra Prasad Chapagain has tasted positive for coronavirus.

The District Administration Office has been sealed for seven days after the CDO tested positive for coronavirus.

The administration will be closed for seven days and PCR tests will be conducted on people who have come into contact with the CDO, said Ramesh Prasad Sigdel.

Chapagain was also in the same helicopter along with Tourism Minister Yogesh Bhattarai during the inauguration of the BOP to be established in Olangchungola.

After returning from the BOP inauguration program, Chapagain’s swab was collected the next day and sent to Biratnagar for testing.

After collecting the swab, Chapagain was in home quarantine.

He said that he would remain in isolation with more vigilance as his swab test report was positive.
