COVID-19 claims two including a septuagenarian in Kavre

KATHMANDU: Two people have died from coronavirus in the courses of treatment at Dhulikhel Hopital in Kavre district.

The deceased are a 50-year-old man and a 77-year-old male from Banepa-13, Kavre.

According to Dr Nerendra Kumar Jha, the senior medical administrator of District Health Office, Kavre, both the COVID-19 patients succumbed to the pandemic on Wednesday night.

The 50-year-old patient had been undergoing treatment since October 13.  He was also suffering from diabetes. His 45-year-old brother had passed away from the virus only 10 days ago.

Similarly, the septuagenarian man who had returned home after undergoing dialysis on Wednesday evening passed away at home.  His swab test conducted at the laboratory of Dhulikhel Hospital came out positive yesterday, said Dr Jha.
