26 CIB officials test COVID-19 positive



KATHMANDU: As many as 26 officials of Central Intelligence Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police have tested positive for coronavirus.

According to an official at CIB, 26 including a DSP have tested coronavirus positive in the swab tests carried out in Nepal Police Hospital, Maharajgunj.

After finding the alarming number of cases amid the officials deployed secretly at various places, further investigation and contract tracing has been initiated at large scale.

Coronavirus cases are increasing in the country and the forefront workers like medics and security personnel are found affected by the pandemic of late.
