KATHMANDU: Mayor of Mahalaxmi municipality in Lalitpur district Rameshwor Shrestha has tested positive for coronavirus.
The infection was confirmed in Shrestha after his swab test result came out positive on Monday evening.
He had undergone PCR screening after he suffered from fever for the last few days.
Posting a Facebook message, Shrestha confirmed his coronavirus infection and urged one and all to take precaution from the disease.
He has now been admitted to Imadol-based KIST Medical College for treatment.
