TV education shows to begin today



KATHMANDU: The government is introducing television shows targeting school children from Grade 1 to 10 from today.

According to Tulasi Prasad Thapaliya, director-general of the Centre for Education and Human Resource Development under the Ministry of Education, they have published a schedule for the classes.

The schedule is made available on the Center’s website.

The Center is using the NTV Plus channel to teach students from Grade 1 to 8.

Similarly, students of Grade 9 and 10 will get their distance education from ‘School Education’ channels of NET TV, Dish Home, and Max TV.

Several local government authorities have also been using FM stations to teach children. Meanwhile, Kantipur Radio and Radio Nepal are beginning their education shows from Monday.
