Dhading sealed off, security personnel deployed at checkpoints



DHADING: Movement of vehicles and import of vegetables and fruits has been banned in Dhading as the risk of coronavirus is looming large.

Security personnel has been mobilized at all the checkpoints in the district implementing such provisions from today.

Chief of the Area Police Office, Gajuri, Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Khadka said that the entry to the district has been tightened on Prithvi Highway, Tribhuvan Highway and access roads.

The surveillance of vehicles carrying essential goods from India has been intensified.

Chief District Officer Asman Tamang informed that the district has been sealed to prevent the risk of coronavirus.

“In the first phase, the district has been sealed till May 18 to keep it safe. After that, we plan to move forward based on the situation,” Tamang said.

He said that it was prohibited to stop the vehicles at different places on the highway for fear of spreading infection among the locals.
