KATHMANDU: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday has ordered the government to expand the range of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests in a bid to ensure minimum risk of coronavirus infection.

A single bench of judge Manoj Kumar Sharma today ordered the government in response to a writ petition filed by lawyer Kamal Bahadur Khatri.

The SC issued a show-cause order to the government to explain the reason for not expanding the range of PRC tests in the next 15 days.
