PM’s address postponed over lawmaker’s death



KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s address to the parliament has been postponed.

The scheduled address has been postponed due to the demise of National Assembly member Durga Prasad Upadhyay, Gopalnath Yogi, secretary at the Parliament Secretariat told Khabarhub

Cancer-ridden Upadhyaya passed away at the age of 50 at his residence in Lumbini Sanskritik Municipality-10 of Rupandehi.

Oli was scheduled to apprise the parliament of the two years’ activities carried out by the government at 2 pm.

The Oli-led government is completing two years on December 15.
