NCP Chair Dahal inaugurates Umbrella Street in Chitwan

CHITWAN: Nepal Communist Party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal has inaugurated the newly-constructed ‘Umbrella Street’ at Bharatpur metropolis-22, Patihani.

Inaugurating the Street, Dahal expressed the hope that the street would further help in the development and expansion of tourism in Patihani.

The street stretched over around 10 kattha land was constructed at the cost of Rs 30 million, according to ward chairperson Bishnu Raj Mahato.

As many as 480 colorful umbrellas have been set up in the street.

The mosaic umbrellas have added beauty to the area. The Patihani food festival has also been organized here to promote the umbrella street and local foods.

The festival has 20 stalls.
