B&C operator Prasai files complaint at CIAA against Giri

KATHMANDU: Operator of B & C Medical College in Jhapa, Durga Prasai, on Tuesday filed a complaint against Vice Chairperson of Medical Education Commission (MEC) Shree Krishna Giri at the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority, an anti-corruption constitutional body.

Prasai had last week claimed that Giri demanded Rs 200 million in bribe to grant affiliation to his medical college. Giri, however, denies the charge.

Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu today, Prasai said he has filed a complaint at the CIAA and the Department of Money Laundering Investigation restating his claim.

Prasai warned that he would move to the court if the commission did not settle the issue.
