Snowfall, downpour kill 25 in Pakistan

KATHMANDU: As many as 25 people have died due to heavy snowfall compounded with downpour in Pakistan, international media reports said.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has announced a state of emergency in the disaster-hit regions.

Fourteen people are reported killed across seven districts of Baluchistan Province of Pakistan.

The airport and highways have been hit by the snowfall. Communication has been cut off while a few houses have caved in due to downpour.

Meanwhile, hospitals are chock-a-block with the injured. This is the heaviest snowfall ever occurred in Pakistan in the last 20 years.
