KAILALI: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Gagan Thapa has labeled the Communist government as the most incompetent and has declared it a complete failure.
Addressing the protest rally organized in Dhangadhi, NC leader Thapa said that the totalitarian government has done nothing in favor of people rather has mishandled the nation’s treasure in every possible way.
Pointing out that out of seven provinces of the country six have got Communist-led governments and there is the federal government of majority at the center, NC leader Thapa lambasted the government for all the corruption prevalent in the country and hailed down with the government.
During his address, leader Thapa targeted everyone from President Bidya Devi Bhandari to the Prime Minister.
Dissatisfied at the role f President Bhandari, Thapa urged her to contest the election in Kathmandu in the same manner as her late husband who had challenged then King Birendra and find the general sentiment of the people now.
He warned that the removal of the President will not be a big issue for NC as it has also ousted the king. He criticized the political activism of the incumbent President.
“If we throw away the King, we can also throw away the President if it goes against democratic norms and values,” Leader Thapa told in the protest rally and added, “The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) government does not talk about what is needed immediately, but only talks of baseless and ethereal dreams that will never be fulfilled.
He also challenged Prime Minister KP Oli saying he would go to Baluwatar to find the corrupt.
“The government which claims zero-tolerance against corruption has turned puppet in the hands of the corrupt as the scams like Baluwatar land scam, Omni Group, Yeti Group, 700 million rupees commission sought by the Minister etc show,” Thapa cited some corruption cases ‘to reveal the nature of the government.”
