Injured cricketer Bhandari to be airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment



KATHMANDU: Member of the National Cricket team Lalit Bhandari is being airlifted to Kathmandu for further treatment this afternoon.

Member of National cricket team, Bhandari and Karan Thagunna had met with an accident at Jhalari in Kanchanpur on Sunday evening when a truck hit the motorcycle the cricketers were riding.

According to Bhandari’s family members, Bhandari has bruises on his hand and legs and was taken to Nepalgunj Medical college from the Dhangadhi-based Nisarga Hospital.

A truck — Se 1 Kha 1324 — heading toward Mahendranagar from Dhangadhi hit the motorcycle (Ma 2 Pa 4705)the cricketers were riding on Sunday evening.

Family source informed that Bhandari is being airlifted through air ambulance to Tokha-based Grande Hospital.

His CT scan report is said to be normal.
