Two coronavirus infected die in Morang, one in Mahottari



KATHMANDU: Two coronavirus-infected persons of Morang have died while undergoing treatment at COVID-19 Special Hospital of the BP Koirala Institute of Health Science.

Among them, a 40-year-old man who had no chronic disease, lost his life to the deadly virus, the hospital sources said.

BHKIHS spokesperson Dr Nidesh Sapkota shared that the youth of Dhanpalthan-6 of Morang died at 8.45 pm on Sunday evening.

He had tested positive for the virus in course of his treatment at Ortho Observation Ward of the BPKIHS. He was admitted to the COVID-19 Special Hospital at 10.00 pm Saturday after he tested positive on Friday.

Earlier, a 70-year-old man of Biratnagar-12 died of coronavirus infection at COVID-19 Special Hospital of the BPKIHS on Sunday afternoon. He was referred to the COVID-19 Hospital by Biratnagar-based MAX Hospital. He was diagnosed with coronavirus on September 1. He had been suffering from high blood pressure.
With this, the death toll from coronavirus has reached 26.

Jaleswor – A 60-year-old woman of Loharpatti municipality-3 of Mahottari district died of coronavirus infection. She was admitted to the State Hospital Janakpur on September 7 after she complained of respiratory complications and fever, said State-2 Health Directorate Director Dr Bijaya Jha. He further shared that the coronavirus infected woman died on Sunday.

With her demise, the number of people losing to the deadly virus has jumped to 12 in Mahottari district, according to coronavirus focal person of the district, Girendra Kumar Jha.
