Sexagenarian woman dies of COVID-19 in Chitwan Medical College



CHITWAN:  A 62-year-old woman has died of coronavirus in the course of treatment at Chitwan Medical Collge in the district.

The sexagenarian who was admitted to the hospital on August 31 after she complained of fever, cough and respiratory complications succumbed to the disease at 11:30 pm on Sunday, said Dr Dayaram Lamsal, the director of the hospital.

Orginally from Gaindakot municipality-9, the patient had tested for the COVID-19 on September 2.

With this, the number of deaths from coronavirus has reached 29 in Chitwan.

Of them, 17 are from Chitwan, five from Makwanpur, four from Nawalaparasi East and one each from Bara, Gorkha and Kailali.
