Mets forecast light to moderate rain today



KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology says the

weather will remain partly to generally cloudy throughout the country today with chances of light to moderate rain in many places due to the influence of the monsoon low pressure system.

The Department says there is further possibility of precipitation due to the situation of the monsoon low pressure trough near the west Nepal towards the south.

The weather currently is generally cloudy across the country and it has been raining at some places of State-1, the Bagmati State, the Gandaki State, the Karnali State and the Sudurpaschim State.

It will be generally cloudy throughout the country towards the afternoon with chances of light to moderate rain in some places and heavy rain at one or two places of the Bagmati State, the Gandaki State, State-5 and the Karnali State.

The latest information shared by the Meteorological Forecasting Division states that the minimum temperature was 21.0 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature 31.0 degrees Celsius in the Kathmandu Valley today.
