Six killed as landslide buries house in Kalikot



KALIKOT: Six people have died after a landslide buried a house at Mahabai rural municipality-3 in Kalikot district.

Two sons, two daughters of Raj Bahadur Bista, a ward member, and two daughters of his elder brother Dil Bahadur Bista were killed in the landslide triggered by monsoon rains, according to Khem Bahadur Singh, the personal secretary for the Chief Minister of Karnali Pradesh.

The incident took place last night. Locals have carried out rescue operations.

District Police Office, Kalikot said a team of police has left for the incident site.
