Chandra Dhakal announces candidacy for FNCCI Senior Vice-President with panel



KATHMANDU: Chandra Dhakal has announced his candidacy for the post of Senior Vice-President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) along with a panel.

Gunanidhi Tiwari will be vying for the post of the District/Municipal Vice-President, Umesh Lal Shrestha for Commodity Vice-President and Ram Chandra Sanghai for the Associate Vice-President from Dhakal’s team.

Announcing candidacy, Dhakal underscored coordinated effort between the government and the private sector to wade through the COVID-19 pandemic and tackle the economic slowdown due to the pandemic.

“My team has experienced people. We have entrepreneurs running small and medium scale to big enterprises,” Dhakal shared.

He added that his team had access from village to the policy level. He pledged to be with other entrepreneurs for the greater good of the Federation although he and his team are vying in the upcoming election.

Kishor Pradhan, another candidate for the post of Senior Vice-President, is also contesting the election by forming a panel.

Dinesh Shrestha is contesting for the post of District/Municipal Vice-President, Anjan Shrestha for the commodity Vice-President and Saurabh Jyoti for the associate Vice-President from Pradhan’s panel.

The Federation is going to organize national convention on August 10 and 11.
