CIAA arrests information officer of Joshipur Rural Municipality



DHANGADHI: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Siddha Raj Joshi, Information Officer of Joshipur Rural Municipality with bribe money on Tuesday.

According to Top Bahadur Bista, CIAA spokesperson, Kanchanpur, the CIAA team led by Inspector Anil Giri arrested Joshi.

He informed that Joshi fled from the office leaving the bribe money after he realized that the CIAA team had reached to his office to arrest him.

The CIAA team seized Rs 85,000 received by Joshi and arrested him later.

CIAA spokesperson Bista informed that Joshi has been brought to the Mahendranagar-based CIAA office and would soon be sent to head office in Kathmandu for further investigation.

Sources claimed that Joshi had taken the bribe for facilitation in the training program.
