Karnali Province assembly member tests COVID-19 positive



SURKHET: A provincial assembly member of Karnali Province has tested positive for coronavirus.

According to the Directorate of Health Services under the Ministry of Social Development, the lawmaker representing Nepali Congress has contracted coronavirus.

His swab sample was tested at Avian Disease Investigation Laboratory, Surkhet on Monday.

He is currently living in home isolation in Birendranagar and is under the direct supervision of a health worker, said lawmaker’s personal secretariat, adding that he was in a normal health condition.

Preparations are underway to collect swab samples of provincial assembly members, journalists and family members who came in contact with the lawmaker.
