East-West Highway disrupted after landslide occurs at Daunne



NAWALPARASI: The East-West Highway has been disrupted after a landslide occurred at Daunne in Bardaghat Susta in Nawalparasi East.

The landslide triggered by incessant rain has disrupted the highway and a fallen tree has crushed a truck and a car, said DSP Mohan Bahadur Khand of District Police Office, Nawalparasi East.

However, no casualties have been reported in the incident.

Talking to Khabarhub, Spokesperson Khand said it will take around four hours to clear the debris brought by the landslide.

Meanwhile, a long line of traffic has been formed along the East-West Highway near Bardaghat Susta following the road disruption.
