Male undergoing treatment in ICU tests COVID-19 positive



KAILALI: A 43-year old male of Godavari-7, Kailali undergoing treatment in an ICU at the Dhangadhi-based Navajeevan Hospital has tested positive for coronavirus.

According to sources, the male is a member of the public transportation committee undergoing treatment for the last two days.

Dr. Bidur Mani Dhakal, Director at the Hospital said that they had admitted him in ICU after he complained to difficulty in breathing.

“It was an emergency case. He was admitted to the hospital due to some respiratory hazards. His swab was sent to the Dhangadhi-based laboratory for a swab test,” Dr. Dhakal said. According to him, the male tested positive, and all who came in contact with him are kept in isolation now.

After the dissertation, the male has been shifted to the ICU of Seti Provincial Hospital yesterday.

Dr. Dhakal informed that the male had been a key member of the team helping the Nepalis returning from India reach to the quarantines.
