COVID-19 patient dies in Gulmi, Nepal’s death toll reaches 19



KATHMANDU: A COVID-19 patient in Gulmi died while undergoing treatment on Saturday night taking Nepal’s death toll from coronavirus to 19.

A 36-year-old man from Dhurkot Rural Municipality who was undergoing treatment in isolation of Resunga Municipality died at 10 pm on Saturday, said Dr. Kaviraj Bhusal of Tamghas Hospital.

The Ministry of Health and Population has also confirmed the death due to COVID-19.

He was treated in isolation as soon as the coronavirus infection was confirmed on May 25.

The man had been suffering from cancer for two years and his health condition had been critical for the past few days. A group of security personnel buried the dead body in a forest in Jaisithoka last night.

Earlier on Saturday, Nepal had reported two COVID-19 deaths.
