Clean-up campaigns in Kathmandu Valley continue amid lockdown



KATHMANDU: Clean-up campaigns in the Kathmandu Valley have continued amid lockdown. Bagmati Mega Clean-up Campaign that took place at Shankhamul area and United Nations Park area has reached the 370th week on Saturday.

Member of the board of director of the High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati Civilization, Mala Kharel, campaigners Dr. Laxmi Poudel and Ram Prasad Panthi led the campaign.

Likewise, Bagmati Beauty Concerned Forum the clean-up by which took place at the source of Bagmati river reached the 330th week.

Under Bishnumati Clean-up Campaign, Tokha municipality-9 area was cleaned up. The campaign made it to the 297th week. Balkumari area has been tidied up under Manohara river clean-up campaign which reached the 169th week.

Similarly, Godawari river clean-up campaign that took place at Bishnudol bridge area has reached the 67th week.
