One of two COVID-19 absconding patients from Narayani Hospital comes into contact



KATHMANDU: One of the two youths undergoing treatment for coronavirus, and who had absconded from the Narayani Hospital on Wednesday had come into contact, hospital authorities have said.

A search for the two — Rajnath Yadav and Asraf Hawari — was initiated after they fled the hospital on Wednesday.

One of the youths, who had fled the hospital, will be brought back soon, the hospital said.

They were admitted to the hospital on Tuesday evening after testing positive for coronavirus.

According to Dr Madan Kumar Upadhyaya, Medical Superintendent, they are investigating the issue.

He said as many as 69 persons infected with coronavirus are being treated at the hospital.
