Nepal to adopt ‘6T strategy’ for curbing coronavirus



KATHMANDU: The government of Nepal has come up with a ‘6T strategy’ to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Speaking at the regular press briefing on Monday, Minister of Health and Population Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal has revealed that the government has worked on the strategy to control the pandemic.

According to Minister Dhakal, ‘6T strategy’ includes travel restriction, testing, tracing, tracking, treatment and together.

So far, 14 people in Nepal have tested positive for the virus.

Nepal reported two new coronavirus cases today.

A 65-year-old woman of Lamki Chuha Municipality-1, Bhuruwa Kailali and a 19-year-old youth in Rautahat have tested positive, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

So far, Kailali has the highest number of COVID-19 patients with six while Parsa has three. Baglung and Kathmandu have equal two and one in Rautahat.
