KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Oli, who was admitted to the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) on March 2 for a kidney re-transplantation, has been discharged from the hospital on Friday evening.
PM Oli greeted a crowd present at the hospital premises before entering a jeep.
Earlier today, Director at the TUTH, Dr. Prem Krishna Khadga had said that the hospital decided to discharge the prime minister following good progress in his health.
However, PM Oli has been suggested to refrain from meeting people or attending any public functions even after his discharge.
It has been said that an isolation ward has been constructed inside the PM’s residence in Baluwatar.
Earlier, PM Oli had undergone his first kidney transplant in 2007 at Apollo Hospital in New Delhi.
Samikshya Sangraula, who donated one of her kidneys to Prime Minister Oli, was discharged from the Maharajgung-based TUTH on Wednesday.
