KATHMANDU: A sub-committee of the State Affairs Committee of Parliament has suggested an investigation against former Nepal Army (NA) Chief Rajendra Chhetri for corruption.

A sub-committee formed to investigate against a complaint lodged at the House panel against Chhetri submitted its report to the State Affairs Committee on Thursday.

The sub-committee in the report has suggested that the House panel should direct the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) and Department of Money Laundering Investigation to investigate against Chhetri.

The report states that the committee should write to the Ministry of Defense requesting to investigate alleged corruption while reconstructing NA Headquarters.
