Sankata beats Saraswoti 6-2, climbs to seventh position



KATHMANDU: Sankata Club wrapped up the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League on Thursday with a 6-2 win against Saraswoti Youth Club.

At the match played at the Saatdobato-based ANFA Complex, Messouke scored goals in the fifth and 33rd minutes of the game.

Suvash Gurung added another goal in the 37th minute of the game as Tika Raj Gurung and Roshan Pahari netted goals in the 59th and 85th minutes of the match.

Kazeem scored both goals for Saraswoti in the 68th and 78th minutes of the game.

With the win, Sankata Club has finished the league in the seventh position with 18 points from 13 matches. Saraswoti has been relegated to the ‘B’ Division.
