Nepal Police thrashes Friends 3-0 in ‘A’ Division League



KATHMANDU: The departmental team, Nepal Police Club, has clinched an easy win in its the last match under the ‘A’ Division League Football Championship.

Police beat Friends 3-0 in the match held at the ANFA Complex at Satdobato in Lalitpur on Thursday. Jumanu Rai’s hat-trick sealed the win for Police.

The first half of the match ended in a goalless draw and the Police scored three goals only in the second half. Jumanu who entered the field in place of Hemanta Shrestha scored the first goal of the match in the 49th minute taking the Police in the lead.

It was Jumanu again to score the second goal in the 56th minute and the third one in the 85th minute.

Police has made a pleasant ending with the victory in its last game of the league. Police is in the fifth position with 20 points from 13 games while Friends is in the 10th spot with 14 points from 13 games.
